Brie Larson takes home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a motion picture drama at the Golden Globes for her performance in Room. When talking about breakout stars of this year’s awards season Brie Larson is at the top of the list. The stunning 26-year-old actress took home the Best Actress Golden Globe for her work in the drama Room last night, and gave a lovely speech filled with excitement and gratitude for her win. In her speech, Brie humbly thanked the writer of the book that inspired the film, her director, and her adorable co-star, Jacob Tremblay, adding that half the award belongs to the young actor. She also gave a couple shoutouts to her mom and boyfriend, whom she referred to as her “love”--so cute! She closed her speech by apologizing to anyone she forgot to mention but promised to write them a thank you card. She was both moving and funny and she totally nailed it. We’re predicting that we’ll be seeing a lot more of her this awards season because her work in Room is ah-mazing.
